I wouldn't put much faith in that and if I were you I would stop doing as much research. The info I have is fromreading and corisponding with top experts in the feild. Your risk is so small it's not worth all the worry
hotline said no fiction is meaning less.
I asked a person on a hotline and he said friction doesn't matter.
So now I don't know what to think.
Correction "should NOT be worried"
There needs to be friction rubbing contact to force the virus into a nerve, its not simple skin contact thats why you should be worried. Simple skin touching on a non mucus area is zero risk.
Why shouldn't I worry when its possible?
Why isn't my exposure something to worry about. Theres skin to skin contact, but it wasn't in my anus.
It is possible. Again chances are low. I wouldn't worry about this. Your chances are again very very low. To low to be a real concern
He claims to play it safe but could he get herpes that way for someone who is infected?
The fact that no lesions were present is a good thing. Thats when it's most contagious. The virus does shed around 18% of days and is contagious then as well. So it can be spreadwith no signs or symptoms. Those arethe facts but like I said with your exposure and the rates of possible infection (thats if he has it and probably he doesn't) your chnces would be very very low. Please try not to stress to much over this as the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor.
He had no blisters visible. Does that mean anything?
Can herpes be spread if there are no blisters on said body part? I know theres a period before they form(like itching) but I think he would know.
Your chance from an exposure like this where no penetrarion or friction from sex is very very low. Initial outbreaks usually occur 3-10 days after exposure and in rare cases upt to twenty days. If you don't have an outbreak within 10 days from exposure then I would feel confident all is fine. Again a very very small chance if any.
