Canker Sore or Cold Sore?

Canker Sore or Cold Sore?

I know this is a really dumb question, but I am really worried so please help me!
How can you tell the difference between a cold sore and a canker sore?
I have one canker sore looking tiny white painful bump/sore inside my upper lip, the location is very weird, it's at the border that separates the wet part of the lip and the dry part of the lip (if that makes sense to anyone), I can see it when I open my mouth, is it probably just a canker sore? It looks like one, but it is a lot smaller than the ones that I have had and the location is so near the dry part of the lips. Do cold sores usually appear in groups? I only have 1 single canker sore looking thing.

Canker sores are usually in your mouth and there round or oval and yellowish or white. I get canker sores frequently, and i get them everywhere in my mouth. I've got them where you described, and if it is white or yellowish oval with maybe a red lining around it, you got yourself a canker sore. For me, the canker sores that are near my lips are generally small.
