Idk get through it, I feel like the most disgusting person on the planet and normally I'm really pretty :( I know is houldnt but i can't help it :( my confidence has gone like in the shitter so fast.... :(

Well I went to the clinic, and the nurse looked and said she thinks thinks thinks I have the number one type... she said they dont like genitals though and I would probably never have it down there again. It just hurts so baddd :( like holy crap.. I can barely move without pain.. :( I can't pee! :( Cause it kills :(
Idk I just need support :( From someone whos living with it I guess...

The Dr. just diagnosed me as well few weeks ago, im confused my test came neg but the dr. said this is what it looks like and this is what it is. She said the test probaly was false neg. Its been 3 weeks and im starting to get better down there

you can't tell type by looking at it.

what testing did they do for you? did they give you antivirals to take?

what have you  been trying for your herpes for pain control? Try things like soaking in the tubby with epsom salts or a packet of aveeno bath thrown in for comfort. Dermoplast spray ( the blue can for the genital area, not the red can ) can be found otc. It's a topical anesthetic you spray on for pain control.  Also holding a bag of ice to your genitals is also sometimes helpful.

she took a test had to stick me with some cotton swab thing i balled my eyes out cause it hurt so bad, and she told me to just keep popping tylenols so ive been living off like 3000mg of tylneol a day.. :/ I cant really use soaps cause i always get yest infections from soaps :(  and ive been bathing like 4 times a day it usually burns after though ...

make sure you don't take more than 4000mg of tylenol a day. doses higher than that are toxic to the liver.  alternating tylenol with ibuprofen gives you pain relief comparable to some narcotics.  

aveeno bath ( colloidal oatmeal ) is not a soap/bubble bath. neither is epsom salts.  both are very soothing to irritated skin.  

your valtrex dose should be 1gm 2x/day for 7-10 days. check the dose to see if that is what you were given.  

the dermoplast spray really is helpful - you can find it at most drugstores for under $10.

dnt worry, exactly same situation here. it calms down eventually (took around 3wk for it to get bareable) and i keep being told it will go away

grace im taking 1 tablet twice a day for 10 days and they are 500mg's each
amd really... maybe i will look for that aveeno stuff..
and dermoplast sounds scary is it like sticky?

and I honestly can't do this for 3 weeks everyone keeps sayin 3 weeks how can you do it?? how do you move or anything how do you work??? I had to work last night and my god I wanted to die ! :( its so hard!

i cant get dermoplast unless i get a prescription but i got the oatmeal stuff and calomine lotion,,,,? Could i use that?

If i had a herpes infection would it show on a complete blood count if there was any infection of any kind at all ?
What i mean is if there is any kind of infection would it cause an abnormal WBC count ?

I'm sure there are otc topical anesthetics in canada. I'm not familiar with brand names but check in the hemorrhoid section. Just avoid any that have steroids in them.  

calamine lotion is not to be used on the genital area!

really it does get better as it heals.  

call your provider because you were given too low of a dose of valtrex for the first ob.

Yeah I called today and I was taking the wrong amount, its like doubled now, hopefully that will help...
me god its just so hard to do anything! And my self esteem how do you get over that part?

it's up to you how you allow this to infect you.  it's just a viral infection that wants to proliferate by infecting as many folks as it can. it has nothing to do with you as a person. 1 in 4 women have it. it's very, very common.  allow yourself a bit of a pity party right now because it hurts like hell!  Once the pain is over, start dealing with it and reminding  yourself that it is what it is and get back to living life to the fullest :)   It's up to you how much this effects your life ,you can control symptoms quite a bit to keep recurrences to a minimum.  You can also keep transmission to a male partner down to as low as 1% risk/year which is the same risk as you getting pregnant on the pill to give you something to compare it to.  It's just one more bump and in the big picture quite a small one though right now it certainly doesn't seem like that I know.

Thats what my mom said.. we talked about it today ands he said right now its okay to be upset its a first time thing you don't know how to respond but it would get better...

did you call your doctor to also get treated for it?  Chlamydia is easily treated with antibiotics.
