you wouldn't get herpes symptoms over night from a newly acquired infection.
you should go and be seen today to have this looked at.
You also should consider using condoms and a good lube to reduce friction too.
Hi Grace,
I wanted to follow up on my condition which had subsided after I stopped pleasuring myself for a week or so. However, last night me and my girlfriend(we reunited...lol),who is hsv 2 positive, had unprotected sex. This morning I woke up and my foreskin on my penis was swollen and there was on red spot on the backside of the foreskin. It is absolutely painless and I haven't had any itching or burning or pain urinating. Nor is my foreskin or penis sore. I looked up some symptoms for swollen foreskin and found balantitis(hope I spelled right?). Which I didn't think I would be a candidate for since I practice impeccable hygiene. Could the swelling be an issue related to previous rigorous masturbation. Or should I start to consider the fact I may too now be hsv2 positive? As always will appreciate any insight you can give. Thanks!
your risk overall was very low. just test to cover your bases before moving onto a new partner.
Ok Dr. Phil.... Oooops.I meant Grace....lol... I will take your sound advice and purge then test. Is it a certainty that I will be positive because my partner was? Probably a dumb question; but they do say the only dumb ones are those you don't ask!
Thanks again for your sage advice.
Thanks, that makes sense. I'm going to give it a rest for awhile and then be more careful and do in shorter increments.
any good lube like astroglide or KY works fine for masturbating. many out there on the market to chose from. if you sat and rubbed your hand over your forearm for a hour while watching tv, it would get red and sore too!
Best you can do at this point is wait 3 months after the last time you had sex with this partner and get a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is before moving on to a new partner. gives you time to process the end of this relationship and get rid of some of the "baggage" you've accumulated in it so that you are really ready for a new partner when you meet one ( yes I just went all dr phil on your butt....lol ).
I am not a doctor, but I suggest those red blood spots are likely bruising. The penis isn't meant to keep an erection for durations of hours on end. Just like the Viagra or Cialis other ED pill states, if you have an erection for over 4 hours, seek medical attention. The blood veins are not designed to keep up prolonged pressure and tend to microscopically break down, hence the bruising. You would be better advised to masturbate more frequently for shorter durations than marathon singular events to prevent injury. While everyone is different on how long they can sustain an erection, sounds like to me you are pushing the envelope.
Yikes, pardon the typos grace. Meant she does not like using condoms and if I still have my health not house ... lol
Honestly, I do not use any lube; could you recommend a good one? We use condoms mostly, however there have been several occasions where we've gone without, as she has only had one outbreak in 3 + years we've been together. She really doesn't like to use them which sort of bothers me but I have made concessions. She feel that it ruins the mood send that people have been together this long should still be using them which I don't agree with. Which is why I pleasure myself so often. We are in midst of break up as well. Would you believe I accept her whole heartedly without hesitation and find her on dating websites behind my back. She is 39 and wants a child's badly as do I but must have trust first. So looks like we will be moving on which is unfortunate but such is life. Hope I still have my house if not I will take it necessary precautions and do the right thing by any future partner.
you have to be kind to the lil guy! do you use a good lube when you masturbate?
odds are these are not due to herpes.
what precautions do you and your gf take?
