Chance of Transmission

What are the chances of someone on getting herpes from a one time encounter in which the genitals touched/rubbed until stimulated...there was no penetration...little oral sex involved. There were no symptoms of herpes on either pardner. No knowledge of having /being tested for HSV 1/11 before and person says no STDs, but I am not sure.

Did herpes test three weeks later with HSV 2 positive result with reading of:

HSV 1   - 4.84
HSV 2   - 2.56

1.     Does of 2.56 indicate recent exposure?
2.     Does this mean I contacted HSV2 from that encounter or could have contacted HSV 2?
3.     Could HSV2 result of 2.56 also be from previous exposure of three years or more previously?
4.     If transmitted from previous exposure of three years and more...wouldn't the result be higher than 2.56?
