Circumcision for herpes infection

I'm an uncircumcised male and I've had herpes for over 38 years.  I know there are drugs like Valtrex available, but, I've never taken it.  Since my outbreaks are always in the foreskin area, I was wondering if any men have had any good results by getting circumcised after being infected.

correct, it's not a skin infection - just lesions show up on the skin periodically from the virus being active.

have you ever read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com?  it's a free and terrific online resource.

So, the virus is actually in the nerve system, not just the skin.  OB's vary from once a year to maybe 3 sometimes.  I have to see my family Dr. for my annual checkup in a couple of weeks.  I'll approach him on the subject then.  I guess I've just gotten used to them, but, I always know about 3 days beforehand when an ob is going to happen.  Anyway, thanks for the info.

you'd still have herpes in your nerves so you'd still shed the virus and your ob's would just appear elsewhere.

how often are you getting ob's?

why haven't you tried herpes antivirals if you are bothered by your recurrences?
