Cold Sore...Oral Sex...HELP!

I've been getting cold sores all my life and they've always been painful, big and take a long time to go away. About a week ago I woke up with a very small red bump with (what looked like) a white head. So I figured it was a pimple since usually they are much worse. I actually popped it later than night, just like a pimple. It dried up and I didnt take any medication for it. The next day me and my partner had oral sex, normally I wouldn't but I figred it was just a pimple. Now, about a week later, my partner has what looks like the same thing, right now it's just a red bump (no whitehead), and I'm incredibly afraid that I may have given him the virus....what are the chances that he will recieve genital herpes!?!?! Im so scared, I don't want him to have herpes because of my dumb mistake. Im still not even sure that my bump was a cold sore in the first place...what do u think? what are the chances my partner will get genital herpes!

You would be doing yourself a favor to go get a blood test for HSV. If you do have HSV 1, you could easily give it to someone via oral sex.

The "pimple" is already gone now...and I dont think he has hsv1 or anything, well....maybe...but i was his first kiss and his first everything so hes definately clean but i think it will be okay because it turned out to not be a cold sore....still a little worried that he could some how get genital herpes, do u think he could still get genital herpes even if he doesnt have facial herpes???

The best thing to do is for your partner to go be seen and get this "pimple" cultured for herpes and typed.

Has your partner ever had a herpes blood test before to know what his status is?

The risk of him contracting hsv1 genitally depends on his own hsv1 status. Even if he can't recall ever having a cold sore before - that doesn't mean that he doesn't already have hsv1 orally himself.
