Cold sore or something else?...

Last night when I was laying in bed I was moving my mouth around and I noticed that it kind of hurt. So this  morning when woke up and I went and looked at my lip and there's a red bump on my upper lip. It doesn't hurt if I don't touch it, only if I scrunch up my lips and if I press on it but it doesn't hurt enough to cause discomfort. It doesn't burn or itch. Is it a pimple, or a cold core, or  possibly something else?

Update- it no longer hurts.

Unless you kissed them with a sore, there are no issues.

Blood testing is IgG antibody testing. A negative here is about 90% accurate.

Thus chances are this is not HSV1.

I have been tested, I think last October. I had a blood culture done and came back negative. But I've been around the virus at school but never came into contact with their sores. But I will say that they were touching their sores and then touched other people and objects.

Have you ever tested for HSV1? I don't see any reason why you should test now but you may have had a test for various reasons in the past.

Your description is not narrowing in on any particular lesion type so could be any number of things.
