Coldsore / Herpes / sex worker

I had unprotected oral sex with sex worker which lasted a minute or so. There were no visible sores etc but that's irrelevance I guess as symptoms are not always present. I have had no symptoms of Herpes since the incident but my girlfriend has a coldsore...her first ever one. Please dont judge as I am fully aware that I am doing wrong by cheating and yes there is no excuse for it. I can only put it down to going through a very difficult time with the relationship, losing job etc.

What are the chances of me giving her Herpes? I have never had coldsorein my life and neither has she but I am extremely concerned that i have passed on the virus. I had a full std check (apart from herpes) several weeks ago 3 weeks after incident) which came back negative for everything.

1 out of every 2-3 adults has hsv1 orally. it's very common. odds are if you have it, you contracted it before this oral sex.

you can seek out a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is.
