Coldsore and genital herpes at the same time

I have recently had my first cold sore and now I have genital herpes. How have I managed to get the two within days or each other? And how have they spread?

You must return to the doctor for a swab, this does not sound like a correct diagnosis at all. Visual diagnoses are quite inaccurate. A primary outbreak is centered on where virus entered the body which makes the anus unlikely in what you describe.

No positive swabs. I went to the doctor and she confirmed that it was herpies In both areas. I have been sexually active including orally. But not anal which is where my lesions are :(
