Ms. Warren,
Here is my situation from the top: I am a heterosexual male. The only dangerous exposure causing my concern is from oral sex from a woman(s).
August 7, 2013- Receive oral sex from woman unprotected. 20 Minutes later(literally), I notice a red dot where shaft meets head of penis. First question, is this even possible to get herpes that quickly, I realize it could be a coincidence or the friction could have brought it out, but anyway this was the start for me.
The pimple remained singular for about another week and half, would fill up with white puss in the shower, and the white head would fall off by end of day, and repeat this process. One could say my anxiety and stress levels were very high over this for that week and half, aka "catastrophizing" as you put it.
I ultimately got tested under IGG from anylabtestnow. HSV1- .06 HSV2- .17. NEGATIVE.
Ultimately, a few other red spots/sores developed on shaft, I went to dermatologist, he thought herpes. He gave me valtrex, everything was clear within a 1.5 weeks. The whole timeline was 3 weeks... August 7-30th.
January 13, 2014 (Roughly 20-21 weeks later from August 7th). I play golf saturday morning, bask in the sunlight, happily redden my face. I rush to get home, prepare for a date i had that night, which led to heavy kissing and on-clothes friction laying and excuse the term, but dry humping, over the clothes sex.
On sunday I feel a bit weird, a little achy. Monday, I wake up, a very mild red dot on frontal-right head of penis. Ok, a recurrence. Tuesday morning, I took a valtrex the next day (1g), and did so twice a day for the next 2-3 days. That same Tuesday morning, 30 minutes after taking the first valtrex (episodically, just to clarify, i am not on supressive or anything).. I took another IGG test. HSV1- .06 HSV2-.17 NEGATIVES.
About a week later(presently), that red dot has really never materialized past that point, it is healing, and fading...
