I had an STD panel test in Feb or March 2009 and everything was negative except HSV. Six weeks later I was tested again with an HSV IgG test and the results are as follows.
HSV1 - <.90
HSV2 - 1.11
(1.10 = positive)
So I believed I was positive for HSV2, even though I never had any symtoms (symptoms) or abnormalities of any kind, and I've only had sex
with one person ever. (Who claimed to be negative after I told her.)
A couple of weeks ago, I was tested again with an IgG test and the results are below.
HSV1 - 0.15
HSV2 - 1.06 (equivocal)
Could the first test have been a false positive? And if I am positive for HSV2, is it normal for the IgG count to go down? And if this helps I've only had sex
