Confused

I was tested positive for hsv 1 ..... In 2007 I had a cold sore (My dentist told me). I'm really scared and confused, is it possible to have one cold sore and never get one again?

no reason to think your hand rash is hsv1.

your hsv2 is negative.

Oh I did a full std panel I do it every year but I didn't know they never included herpes unless you ask, so me being me I asked for it. The IGG blood test came back positive
Hsv 1 >5.00 H
Hsv 2 0.06
Positive 1.90 I think that's what it was for a positive reading.
Oh does this mean I also have hsv 2?

Okay thank you so much for responding. I did read the article,  I just thought it was weird honestly i remember I had one and never had one again, and I don't ever remember being sick with flu like symptoms or anything like clusters so. It is very confusing, esspecially bc I have a toddler and I'm. Always always always stressed out.... altho I do however every year (summer) get a hand rash (could this be hsv 1?) My obgyn said it could be a sun rash but its always in the same place. And when they 1st started happening it was all over my hand andnow it shows up but only 1/4 of the oringal size and itches a lot, and they have went from 7days to 5days to now 2days.

what testing did you have done?

most folks who have hsv1 orally, don't get obvious cold sores to know that they are infected. Even though the average is 2-3 cold sores a year, having one very infrequently isn't unusual either.
