The first time my now husband and I had sex (protected) he had a bad fever and sore throat that lasted about two weeks. Right after he developed a fever blister on his lip, he said it was due to the high fever and nothing more. That was seven years ago.
We're both healthy, but once a year he gets a bad fever but not blister or bumps. Just really sick for about a week.
For about four years we have being trying to conceive with no luck yet.
Last month he was itchy and had a rash around his foreskin. Also little tiny bumps on the head that went away in about a day but his foresking looked red and swallen. When he pulled back his foreskin there was a white discharge under the head. We thought it was a yeast infection, so I bought some cream. The cream helped the itchiness go away, he penis still looked irritated. When it was healing there was dead skin around his foreskin and it looks like it got tighter, making hard to pull back his foreskin.
Is it possible that one of us has herpes without knowing and infected the other. How likely is it to be together for so long and have no symptoms? I tend to get painful sores inside my mouth, but I think are canker sores. Never gotten a fever blister. Also he developed this rash after I gave him a blowjob, think I had a canker sore but it wasn't painful, kind of forgot it was there.
Also if we have herpes, can we still have children? Is this affecting our ability to conceive?
