Continual Herpes Outbreak

by Kidflash, Oct 24, 2009 04:58PM
I have been having an oral herpes outbreak for about 5 weeks now. It is my first outbreak, and was diagnosed by eye by a doctor at Kaiser Permanente 4 weeks ago. It is very textbook in the appearance of the sores, and the prodromal symptoms. However, even on a perscription of acyclovir, the outbreak has healed and then reoccurred over and over for 5 weeks now. It may have spread to my chin and left cheek, and it definitely has spread to my nose. I have no health insurance suddenly, so I cannot return to my doctor. Any idea why this is happening?
