Continuous facial OB's that don't heal. Help!!

Here's my problem I'm 35, I've had herpes since I was 16 years old. Since April of 2008, I've been having continuous outbreaks around my mouth and chin that can take weeks to a month to heal and then start over again. I also get these hard bumps that just sit there and can stay for months unless I pop it and then it's a huge, ugly sore that won't heal. After one bad OB I grew a ring of clustered raised bumps with no pigmitation in the middle, it looks like a ring worm and it's been sitting on my face for 3 months. It's been a complete nightmare for me to where I really don't want to live. I've been on suppressive therapy with Zovirax, then valtrex, I've tried Lysine, grapeseed, abreva, cold tea bags, meditation. You name it and it just gets worse. I've had blood work done and my immune system is not being attacked by anything to weaken it. Instead of baking cookies and enjoying christmas with my family, I spent hours at a time locked in my bathroom staring at my hideous face. It's obvious a Gyn or Family Doctor cannot help me with this. Can a dermatologist help me or any specialist?

This really doesn't sound like herpes at all going on.  At this point you should be following up on this with a dermatologist.

Hi Grace,

Thanks, I just found a Dermatologist in my area, I pray to God that it's something else that can be cleared with meds. I'm not sexually active haven't been for 10 years, so I know it's not another std. I can't live like this any longer. It's embarrassing and unsightly to myself. So I can only imagine what people think when they see bumps and sores around my mouth. Thanks for your response.
