Contracting Genital herpes

I recently received unprotected oral sex.  Is it possible to contract herpes on my genitals from oral sex?  And if so, does the person have to have an obvious cold sore on their lip?   This person did not have any visible sores and they claim to be disease free.  Should I worry?

have you ever been tested to know your own herpes status?

no you don't have to have an obvious cold sore to contract hsv1 genitally. If you don't notice obvious genital symptoms within 2-20 days after the encounter, odds are you didn't contract genital herpes.
