Contracting STD from my encounter?

Hi everyone!

Please don't judge me if my question is really silly. I'm just basically having a sense of panic even though it might be for nothing at all.

My story is the following.

I few days ago encountered a young male in a gay/bi movie theatre. It was my first time ever in a such a place, and now I have some regrets for it.

I had sex with this man. We kissed and I touched his penis with my right hand while simultaneously he masturbated me. We continued doing so for few minutes and after that I gave him oral sex but with a condom. I pointed out to him that I will only have sex with condom. He agreed so I gave him oral sex. I was a little bit concerned about the fact that his penis touched my teeth once in a while even though I tried to be careful not to cause any damage to the condom.

After that I received anal sex from him and I used lots of lubrication. Once in a while I touched his penis with my another hand just to be sure the condom is in the place it should be. The guy ejaculated and so did I. He pulled his penis away from me and I saw that the condom was still on (even though it had slipped a little bit which I think happens always..but I mean the condom was covering the shaft of the penis for 10 cm or so..). I also saw that the semen was in the reservoir of the condom. I didn't like do any inspection but had a quick look that everything looked like it should...

But immediately afterwards I started panicking. The guy left before me and I started making all these scenarios in my head that what if the guy had pulled the condom away while penetrating me and then putting the same condom back again. I know this is silly. But who knows? Still the fact remains that the there was semen in the reservoir of the condom.

If condoms to break or fail they do it in a catastrophical manner, right? Is it possible for the condom have small holes or something that came from my teeth? Is it possible that some semen escaped the condom and entered my colon?

What about contracting STD's from that mutual masturbation? Herpes or genital warts? I have to say that afterwards I used some antibacterial lotion/soap to my hands..just to be sure. Is it possible that he had like genital herpes and when I used my hand to masturbate his bare penis and afterwards masturbated my own that I had contracted viruses of bacteria that infected me?

How do you feel? Should I get tested or do you think that I was safe?

Thanks for your help! I appreciate!

I'm afraid that according to official studies, a condom only provides about 30% protection against contracting HSV. This is because the infected person can be shedding virus in an area not covered by the condom.

However, there is really no reason to worry until there's something to worry about. If you develop a lesion, go and get it swabbed right away, certainly before 48 hours have passed, or you risk a false negative.

In about 16 weeks, have a reliable blood test done for HSV, either the IgG (good, especially if something other than the ELISA) or the Western Blot (best).

The best recommendation we can give is that you always get tested with a new partner, together, for everything, keeping in mind that the standard STD testing panel does not include HSV. It has to be asked for specifically.

Hi, since no part of your body was exposed to his genital area as was covered with a condom during both the oral and anal sex, the only real risk you would have was from kissing. But if he did not have any lip sores and the kissing was not deep rubbing and grinding the odds you contracted hsv oral would be close to zero.
