Could I have herpes?!?!

I had unprotected sex with a girl about 2 weeks ago, I did not ejaculate. The day after I was expereriencing burning upon urination and the frequent need to urinate. I went to the doctor and she gave me antibiotics for a UTI and most of the symptoms I had have subsided, there is hardly ahy burnign anymore and the frequency to urinate has calmed down, but still are present. The girl I had sex with was tested just this week to see if she had anything and all of her results came back neg. The head of my penis is a bit irritated next to the urethra opening from peeing so much, but there are no other rashes present really. I have no itching or burning and there are no tender spots on or around my genitals. Could this be herpes, the uti results came back negative, could I have some sort of other infection of my urethra??

ejaculation has nothing to do with std risk.

I recommend going back to your provider monday if symptoms are still persisting for a std screening.  You can get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea now and discuss the need for syphilis, hiv and hsv testing a few months from now.  

Meanwhile since it's the weekend, pick up some otc urinary pain relief tablets at the drugstore to help with the few lingering symptoms. Word of caution - they make your urine bright orange so be careful about the post urinating dripping.
