Could this be herpes???

One week ago. I fingered and recieved oral sex from a girl who has genital herpes. She was not having an outbreak, and she had never had symptoms of an outbreak in her mouth. A two days later I came down with a cold. The glands in my neck were swollen ( and still are to some extent), but I got over that. 5 days after our contact I noticed a red bump about the size of the tip of a pen on my penis. The next morning I noticed two more. These bumps do not look like blisters. They look like little bites. They hurt a little if I rub them with my finger. I'm scared that it could be herpes.

Aren't the odds increadibly small that I would have contracted it? First of all, she was not having an outbreak. Secondly the only contact with her genital area was with my fingers. I did not even touch my penis before washing my hands afterwards. The only way I could have got it is if she had a herpes infection in her mouth, but she never had an outbreak there. On top of it all, I have HSV-1 which lowers the likelihood of me contracting HSV-2. I guess my question is could this be herpes?

It is very unlikely you contracted Herpes from this encounter the symptoms you describe are not typical of the condition and your cold was most likley coincidence.
If it doesn't resolve in a day or two or gets worse let your Doctor take a look.

If she has genital herpes, your genitals would have had to have contact with her genitals in order to get genital herpes.

I don't know what your bumps are - a doctor can examine it and tell you.  No one can diagnose you on the internet, but small bumps like that aren't typical symptoms of any std.

My concern was that perhaps she also had a herpes infection in her mouth but did not know it. I'm not sure if a person can have a symptomatic herpes infection in one area and an asymptomatic infection in another.

Yes you can have both oral and genital herpes and not know it until tested.

Your bumps don't really sound like they are painful and due to herpes but if you are concerned, then go see your provider today for further evaluation.
