Culture test?

I had a lesion that appeared a few weeks ago which I thought occured from a different injury. I let it go for a week and then several bumps appeared around it. I went to get it checked out and was told it was Syphilis and received the penicillin shot and for the next week the lesion healed up and the bumps went away.

During the visit I was also tested for Chlamydia and Herpes. They told me the culture test for herpes came back positive although the penicillin healed the bumps and lesion.

Since they are gone, I can not go for another test. How should I handle this situation?

herpes lesions would've healed on their own at that point even without treatment. it was coincidence that symptoms went away after the antibiotics were given.

did they type your herpes lesion culture to know if it's hsv1 or hsv2?

do you have a regular partner? if not, when did you last have sex/oral sex  prior to this?

Hi, I'm a little confused by what you are asking. But, it sounds like you area saying you were treated for Syphillus with penicillin and it went away but then also found out you had herpes. The penicillin or any antibiotics won't work on a virus. So, I don't see why you can't get tested for something else unless it is for another bacteria or to repeat teh Chlamydia test. Usually, they don't treat with penicillin for Chlamydia or GC they require a stronger antibiotic. Does this help? Treatment for herpes is either acyclovir or another antiviral and there is no cure for it.
