DO I HAVE HERPES???? SOMEONE HELP ME!

Hi,
I have a question regarding a rash i have in my genital area. This rash actually started out as a peice of dead skin which i picked off. It is only about an inch long. This rash has been here for atleast two months now maybe longer and it itches sometimes. A few months ago i had protected oral sex with a girl and some of her saliva fell past the condom and onto my skin. She put her mouth on my skin to get the spit off. I am worried that this maybe herpes. I noticed a green puss filled pimple at one point close to the area with the rash, which i popped, it didnt hurt or itch and went away in a day. The rash doesnt seem to be going anywhere though. I put alcohol on it and then baby powder and it stops itching but as soon as i get back in the shower and hop out it seems to start itching again. It looks to be healing because it is crusting over until it gets damp down there and starts itching again. I dont know what to do? Does this sound like herpes??? Someone please help me!

This could be something like eczema, fungal or even bacterial infection. It does not sound like herpes.

Do not put alcohol on it or self-treat at this point. See your medical provider for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Does eczema, fungal or bacterial infections itch? If so do they cause a red rash that lasts for two months or longer? I guess Ive always heard that herpes comes and goes a few weeks later. Also, does herpes just itch, and is a small green puss filled pimple something that would happen due to herpes? I looked at jock itch and it seems to be if it were jock itch it would be more towards my thigh and not in my genital area close to my penis. That's the weird thing also, the rash isn't on my penis its at the base before the penis. Ive also heard or read some where that herpes starts at the base of the penis. Is this true? Could my rash be a lesion? I dont really know what the difference is.. When i dont put anything on the rash and just leave it alone it starts to dry up and crust but then it starts to itch and when i go to itch it, it kind of bleeds if i press down on it hard.

If nothing about this sounds like herpes then what does it sound like? I have already had an HIV test. I had the swab test and a blood test and both came back negative. I dont know what else it could be.

it could be any number of things from a bacterial skin infection to irritation to eczema to fungus etc. following up properly on this with your provider and/or a dermatologist hopefully will get you better answers.
