Desperate for Help :(

I have been doing a lot of research on herpes because I thought I was having the symptoms.  I Have been having burning/redness/discharge on and off (mostly on) since January.  Now,  I did have Type specific tests done for HSV1 & 2 a month later which came back all negative.  After reading about everything, I went again in June which would be six months after my last sexual contact.  (I have not had ANY type of sexual contact since mid december, not even a kiss)  So I read written to someone to get the IGG test results and IGM and I did just that in June.  The results came back HSV IGM Antibodies-not detected and then HSV 1 IGG Type Specific AB 0.04 and HSV 2 IGG Type specific AB 0.02.  My OBGYN said I am definatly in the clear with those results since I have had no type of sexual contact. I don't know what this could be & no one can seem to figure out what is wrong.  I have not worn jeans since January because i get so irrated! The discharge has been compared to BV- yet I have come negative for it.  They have found yeast most times however,they say not much- i do not seem to think this is the culprit!  I have never had any sores, just redness.  I have always had dizziness and pain in the left abdominal region around the last rib on my rib cage and also same area in my back-directly behind.  I do find stress makes the pain worse.  Recently I have had full body aches and extreme fatigue (I did just got my period after stopping birthcontrol which i thought coud be the issue-and was not) I also have a problem where my lips swell and continuously peel (never any sores though) I was found to have adenomyosis from an MRI.  I've just been so paranoid, I can not sleep- I've lost so much weight and have a ton of other stress in my life.  I really really really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this.  I have been falling apart and it has been months!! (also, I have been tested for all other STD's since i have been to the ER about 4 or 5 times for this and everything is always negative)

What is your status now? Have you had chicken pox earlier in life?

you need to be seen every time you have symptoms. if they suspect herpes, ,they can be doing lesion cultures. really nothing else I can help you with at this time that I haven't already said previously. no way to know at this point if you have a true hsv1 + and/or if it's genital.

I got my blood results back.  Please help me.... I am now POSITIVE for HSV-1 IGG specific AB 1.69 and negative for hsv 2 Igg type specific <0.90......  When I took the test back in June both were confirmed as negative.  I have not had ANY type of sexual contact- not even a kiss.  Please Grace, please help me understand this!!  I have never had a cold sore??  Can this be what is causing my genital issues?? Why did it not show up before??  please help

I had another blood test done Monday.  I called for the results today and the nurse said the results were not in my chart- that the dr may have them to review them.  Does the doctor generally review all of the charts or should I be worried??  She told me to call back on Monday.. but, waiting that long is torture

Grace, I understand you have said it doesn't seem like herpes is the culprit. I just self examed myself, I found a blister on my anus.. I don't know what else this could be.   The thing is I have went to the dr over and over again...I have gotten negative blood results- they will never do the swab. I feel like this could be the only cause.  I'm lost.  I feel like no one is helping(the drs)- im digusted by my self

hi grace-  I saw the midwife they keep sticking me with again today due to burning, redness and rawness in that area again.  See, I was sick & had my period at once and then this issue arose once again.  I asked if she could culture the region where it is red- but she insisted that they will just do another blood test and it looks like yeast. I do not have any bisters or cuts, just red and irratated badly.  She said no matter what that it will show up in my blood.  I explained to her I have not been sexually active since end of Dec. and that my most recent blood test in July came back negative... but, I will go ahead and get ANOTHER blood test.  This will be the fourth!!  Whats your take??

Well, here I go again.  But, I now notice a pattern from these posts.  Last night I had the pubic pain and vomitting through the night- however since I started birth control --so far I have not had the rash on my pubic region. ( I dont know if this is related or not but i also did not use the maxi pads this month, thought it could be a reaction but, not likely) did notice that this always happens for the most part btwn the 22- end of month and a less extreme version about a week before my period.  I have vaginal irratation- feels dry and just slight discomfort.  The bad pain is on the pubic bone right now & in btwn thigh & pubic area - it honestly feels like Ive been punched there & when I press it, I feel nasusea

I just want to thank you for talking to me/answering questions through out this time in my life.  I feel like the symptoms are coming on again and I get anxiety anticipating it.  Most of this stuff I don't even talk about with my best friend & yet I find comfort in a total stranger.  For all of the people who don't thank you for taking time out to answer thier questions or being there for them at a time they feel like they have no where else to turn-I want to thank you :)  I am hoping that I wake up tomorrw and all the days after and don't have to expieriance these rashes and issues again.. that would be a miracle.

I was told that when I eat carbohydrates my body doesn't digest them correctly and my blood sugar drops low??  I called back the office and they had me come pick up a glucose machiene and said for me to do the low carb, high protien diet and come back in three months.  I really really believe that this is all hormonal though.  I've read that can cause rashes as well as many of the other symptoms i have.  Everything usually starts about one to two weeks before my period and then following it.  I feel like I keep going to all these drs and Im just goin in circles at this rate :(

hypoglycemia means low blood sugar. we don't recommend a low carb, high protein diet for that. I'd ask your doctor to give you a call and discuss this more when they are in the office again.

these results have nothing to do with your rashes. follow up with a dermatologist for those.

i found out i have hypoglycimia.. from my glucose results.  Unfortunatly I the dr wasn't in and they said they couldnt understand everything she wrote on my blood tests.  :(  Just told me to eat a low carb, high protien diet.  So I will call again tomorrow for more info.

not likely this is herpes related. you won't keep having these sorts of symptoms like this.

continue to follow up with your providers as needed to try to figure out what is going on.

Hi Grace. Hope your not tiered of me :(  Just woke up...bodyaches, chills, weak, feeling like vomiting... all while having irratation down there.  Im crying my eyes out right now.  I feel horrible and I feel hopeless.  Im back to believing I have the herpes virus- Please, Grace... tell me, if It was herpes, would this occur EVERY time?! I feel sooooo sick.  Like flu, kicking my ***.  Just typing this my upper arm muscles are hurting.  Also, the glands (i guess they are glands) in my breasts are soooo sore, like when you are PMSing, but, I am not.  I can't go thru this anymore.  I really can't.

I had my four hour test which was a night mare!! I am not good with needles and all together they took12 viles of blood over an 4 hour period.  Not my cup of tea.  Waiting for the results.  This evening I started feeling fatigued and the all over body aches again and the itching has now started all over.  :(  I had a VERY stressful and dramatic day.. I def can't take much more of this :(  Hopefully these tests will give me an answer.

I had to schedule the testing for this up-coming tuesday.  I went, not realizing I need an appt for this type of test because it is a four hour test :(  ugghhhhh which means i have to sit there for four hours!! But, if this helps me get some answers- I can not wait to have it done!  Thank you and I will still keep updated, like I said before-- If I can help one person, I would be happy.

best of luck getting better answers! follow up with the dermatologist as needed for your rashes too. they can work together to try to figure out what is going on.

Hi Grace,
Went to the endocronologist and she seems to think I may have diabetes.  Going for blood tests tomorrow.  Unfortunatly, two days ago i started breaking out with a rash all over my legs, arms feet and fingers.  They are white spots and I was up the past two nights itching alllllll night long.  Now today, I have pain which Im not sure if it is hemmroids or what!  Plus, Im having the tingling all over my body randomly as I write this.  I hope I find some answers soon.  Feels like an endless battle. :(  Hope all is well and I will continue to stay in touch-- who knows...maybe some day I can be a help to someone else with the same issues.  I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

you wouldn't have symptoms on this many body parts with herpes.

follow up with your provider monday for better answers.

I have tingling/burning spots on my left arm now and it itches too.  Around the hair follicle will turn white and around that is red.  I have no idea what is going on?! Does that happen with HSV2??!!  These symptoms keep occuring.  There is no end :(

This morning I woke up with burning on my buttocks... There is what looks like irrated hair follicles.(No reddness) A Couple pimples- which I have been breaking out all over my body.  Myskin on my inner thighs down to my knees also burn and sometimes the skin down the sides of my calf burns too. Parts of my arms and face are also doing the same :(  If this was herpes--- wouldn't the blisters have developed by now?!  Ive looked at pictures online and it doesn't resemble them...but, I know the virus acts differently in everyone.  However, this is just on and on!  I have an appt two mondays from now, but i fee l like I cant keep going on like this.  If this is what I have to live with my life, I will be miserable.  Im soooo fatigued and achey.  :(

you can have false negatives on the blood tests but you were seen and they didn't feel that anything looked like herpes.

keep following up on your symptoms as needed. sometimes it takes awhile until your providers can get to the bottom of things :(
