Hello, you never mentioned if you got blood tested again to confirm that you did not have HSV, as the doctors you have seen suggested. Tests done after two weeks could very well indicate a negative result if the antibodies have not developed yet, which usually takes 3-6 months after initial infection. Did you have blood tests done again to confirm this?
Still experiencing symptoms 8 weeks after exposure. I have bad nerve pain and a constant slight burning feeling down there. I've seen a couple more doctors since my last post, and they've all told me it's not genital herpes, but they can't tell me what's wrong. I'm on antibiotics right now but they don't seem to be helping.
Still really scared and just want to feel better. :(
Any advice or opinions on my situation would be much appreciated!!
Dont take any tension its curable with homopathy trust me..☺
I've known that feeling all too well. And trust me when I say, if it turns out to be genital herpes, you will come to terms with it. Now as far as the info you gave, it sounds to me like you may have it. When I first was diagnosed, I had all the symptoms of a yeast infection, uti, vaginitis, and the flu (no bumps or blisters or anything similar to the pictures they show you in sexed) I was rather ignorant on the fact that it could have been herpes. I also had what I describe as a feeling of, a tiny cut at the entrance to my vagina. I assumed it was simply a tear from sex since that it a common thing to have. Now it is possibly to have hs1 or 2 in either place. Mine ended up being hsv2 after a culture swab and blood test. However, my blood test was negative until aprox 6 months after my initial swab test was positive. The pain killers very well could cause the tingling. The only tingling I would "worry" about would be if it was in the genital area. I, personally, have never had that tingling feeling before just the feeling of a small cut. Now fast forward 4 years and the only symptoms I have prior to an outbreak is shooting pain (burning sensations) down the back of my left leg, and a feeling on my bum and groin area I describe as the feeling you get after sitting for a long time. Just uncomfortable not necessarily painful. I take my meds and a day later I am fine. The first outbreak is the worst. I was worried I would feel as horrible every single time, but I do not. Also, I am sure if you do have it, you will feel as if your life is over. You will never find anyone who would want to date you, and anyone you tell will be disgusted with you and think you are a ****. We always make things much bigger than they are in our minds and you will see that people will not react this way. Educate yourself on the virus so that when it comes time to tell someone, you can answer all questions asked. If you need any further advice please feel free to message me. I joined this site to help people who are in the same terrifying situation I found myself in 4 years ago. Good luck. Let yourself be depressed, but then educate yourself and move on with life. It is a virus, just like the flu, and people do understand that.
