Diagnosis help please!!!!

Hi there,

I would like a professional opion on the below situation if possible please........

Whilst on a recent sunny holiday in Spain I was a total fool and let all the heat and numerious drinkies go to my head and basically ended up having un protected vaginal sex with a Spanish lady although I did not ejaculate.

The next morning I awoke with a fit of sneezing (could be the rooms dodgy air con) , and what appeared to be small insect bites on the side of my face and when passing water a feeling that I hadnt totally finished.
Progressing on from that 3 weeks later my testicles had a dull ache, are very red and sore and a couple of small spots appeared on my Knuckles which looked like paper cuts almost very small ulcers then dissapeared in a few days.
At the same time a small red rash which looked similar to bacterial/jock itch then appeared in the crease between my thigh and genital region along with maybe 2 or 3 small pimple like cuts which emulated from hair follicles .
The odd thing is that when exposed to sunlight the insect bite type spots which were present on the side of my face re appear like teen zits with a white head (ps im 29 not 13!).
When looking down the urethra of my penis it is slightly swollen and a gacky clear discharge can been.

I was tested for all stds 4 months post incident , these all showed negative results however in relation to Herpes......

I paid for a private Herpes Serology test 4 months post incident produced by :  'Biokit (Spain) ELISE IGG HSV 1&2' which was sent to a leading UK based Lab' for analysis.

The results returned were:
HERPES SIMPLEX ANTIBODIES
H.S.V. I (IgG) Negative 0.607   Index (Pos = > 1.0)
H.S.V. II (IgG) Negative 0.903  Index (Pos = > 1.0)
COMMENT : No serological evidence of HSV Type I & II
infection in this specimen

Now you say OK so your results negative what the hell are you fussing over?..............
Well the odd thing is that BIOKIT the test manufacturer stipulates that an index value >0.9  <1.0  is equivocal so with my HSV2 index value being 0.903 I have an equivocal result correct? Why would the lab interprate the result in such an incorrect way?

I still have been having reoccuring pain all across my buttock area, sciatic pains down my left leg, clear discharge from uretha and itching/ redness across my scrotum.
Not happy with the serology test i waited until the symptoms flaired up again and had a HSV 1&2 PCR swab taken from my uretha and scrotum area -
Results were:
Herpes Simplex Type I/II DNA : Not Detected
Sample type PCR swab

I appreciate this thread is dragging on and thank you for your patience, the bottom line question is based on my results can I rule out Herpes as being the cause of my symptoms? and if so do you have any sugguestions as to what my symptoms may be attributed to?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for your valued opinion's ladies - Its clear the situation needs further investigation.
When I did see the Genito urinary consultant he did say that the rash I had looked more bacterial in nature and that had it been herpes he would of expected to see swollen nodes in my groin area, that said I know that herpes can take on many guises and on occasions doesnt produce the typical blisters that are associated with the infection.
I'm looking to find a solid relationship and believe in being 100% truthful with people thats why i really want to get to the bottom of the situation before I get involved with anyone.

You need to see your Doctor it seems like you may have a Bacterial Infection of some sort that may need anti-biotics to clear it up,if not your Doctor may refer you to a Urologist for evaluation,I wouldn't worry about it being Herpes the symptoms you describe aren't classic Herpes symptoms at all,but you do have something going on there that needs checked out and treated ..... there are many Urological issues that can be confused with STD's so my advice would be to see your Doctor and take along your test results so that he is aware of what you've been checked for already .....
I'm sure it is something that can be sorted out fairly quickly with the correct medication

odds are that this isn't a herpes related issue. You are testing clearly negative 4 months post encounter ( an equivocal is negative if enough time has passed ).

Bacterial infections and fungal infections can really do a number on you in the genital area - don't underestimate them!  Continue to follow up with your doctor for your symptoms.  You need an urine sample sent off as well as a prostate exam if you haven't had one already. also ask your provider if it appears to be a fungal related rash and discuss treated for a fungal related urinary infection too.

Also treat yourself to a good massage ( and the happy ending kind either! ).  Sometimes when you have a lot of anxiety  you tighten up muscles that you usually aren't tightening like that and it causes all sorts of issues in your body!
