Diaper rash or herpes

I have never before had a reason to think i had herpes. I lost my virginity about a year ago and ended the OPEN  relationship I had (the only person I ever had sex with, with condoms everytime) in February because I found out that he had had ALOT of partners. I havent had sex since then. I started to freak out about STDs when i had recurring problems with yeast and a couple urinary tract infections. I went to the doctor and got tested for everything but herpes, all came back negative. I became obsessed however with herpes because it was the only thing I didnt get ruled out and I find i`m constantly on the internet looking up herpes symptoms and pics for hours. I just got off the birth control pill (the generic version, which my doctor said could very well be causing my problems with yeast) and got my period as usual this month. A couple days before it I was kind of irritated down there, and ever since this herpes paranoia I have been hypersensitive to every little itch or slight irritation. I had been out all day househunting in warm, humid June weather wearing a thong and spandex tights, and only noticed this irritation when I urinated. I looked in the mirror and saw some tiny bumps on my vulva, close to my outer labia that didnt hurt, werent necessarily even itchy, but they had a bit of liquid coming out of each of them. They werent clustered or anything, and I put some yeast cream on them and they were gone by the morning (gone in a period of about 8 hours or less). I got my period the next day and everything was still fine..I shaved down there (i find that any sort of hair down there irritates me) even though i had only shaved a couple days before and everything still seemed fine. Ever since I have been on BC i have found that my periods are very unusual: they are so dark brown that they are almost black, and it actually somewhat burns my vulva if im not wearing tampons. During my period this month I wore an Always pad which I changed once a day, and I biked to the store with my pad on which could have caused even more irritation. The next day I was at work with the pad on and noticed this slight itching. I came home and inspected myself and found myself very itchy once I took the pad off, and I itched until it was sore and a little bumpy(along my outer labia). However it looked like herpes a little bit (in my research I found that herpes can be just itchy or sore red patches). I took off the pad, cleaned the area, applied yeast cream and have been wearing tampons since (about 12 hours). I'm a little less sore than last night, there are still the red patches that hurt a bit (bumps from itching went away after half an hour yesterday). I have noticed that the pubic hair is having trouble growing in those red patches. I was just wondering tho if this sounds like herpes, or more like diaper rash from the pad and irritating period. I'm just concerned because of the tiny spaced out bumps I had before my period, like if that was an outbreak, even though it never hurt/itched and only last a few hours. I know that with herpes you can have one outbreak of sores that heal then get another, so I'm wondering if this is what it sounds like. I'm just not sure if you can get sore from diaper rash related to pads.

Obviously this has been causing you a lot of anxiety so why not just get a type specific herpes igg blood test so you can know your status and move past your fear that you have herpes?

Your symptoms you describe sound more like irritation than they do herpes. Not unusual at all to have sensitive genital skin and pads can be irritating to some females.  My advice is follow up on this as needed with your provider to find out what is going on.
