with a friend. Five days later, I experienced burning during urination. My friend told me that she too had been experiencing maladies including a weird feeling in her urethra, general vaginal
discomfort, and she had a sore on the outside of her vagina, which was swabbed for a herpes test. I was treated by a urologist with Azithromycin, and in about a week, although a lymph node
(left) had swelled a bit, my urination returned to normal.
However, my friend's test came back positive for HSV-2. This upset me, so I went to my GP, who did a Igg test. (This was exactly 3 weeks after the encounter.) My test came back negative for both HSV 1 and HSV 2, but I have read only 50 percent of positive HSV 2 people would show antibodies by then.
My doctor and the urologist seemed to think that absent lesions, my urnine/lymph issue was not likely herpes. They don't seem to think I need another blood test in a month or so. But over the weekend (this would now be a full month post-exposure) I had a little pimple on my penis
(near the tip) that made me think I definitely should be tested again. To be honest, the pimple acted like a pimple, it's almost gone two days later, but it seemed unusual. It makes me think I should test again in a month or so. On the other hand
