Do I have Anal Herpes?

Hi I'm a 27 y/o male.
So in the last 2 years it happened to me that I get this real unbearable itch inside my anus. At a breaking point I shove my finger (not very deep, at the beginning of the inside of my anus) in and scratch quite hard which offers a great relief to the itch, or I can't resist and wipe hard after a BM.
I do wash my hand afterwards, but I usually don't clean the place before I shove my finger to scratch or after BM.

A day after I scratch it hard, few small paper-cut like sores, and they are extremely painful. They look like small anal-fissure sores (like tiny craters \ cuts in the skin), and pass on their own in several days when they heal up.

They appear only where I scratched...

Medical background - I have a steady boyfriend for the last 4 years, I don't think he cheats and neither have I. before him I didn't do unprotected sex (I do with him though) but I did get rimjobs etc.

There is no bleeding or pus or discharge from my anus when I scratch or when I wipe....

I tend to have bowel movement around 4-5 times a day, so sometimes my stool can be a little acidic. I am lactose intolerant too, but I eat dairy. I did notice that last time it happened after I ate a lot of dairy....

My question is - my symptoms do sound like Herpes on the one hand, but it might also be possible that the itchiness is because of something I ate or acidicy in my bowel movement, and the lesions are made because I scratched hard without cleaning and thus being infected by my own stool with abrasion from the scratching... I'd like to know how possible is that or whether it's probably Herpes....

It did happen before I had this bad itching, but I did not itch and the sores did not appear, so I'm not sure what to do. Am I missing something?

I would upload a picture of the sore in my anus (but I don't know how)

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Okay thank you very much for your info! I'll try to get the serology done and then see what to do next.

Yes I looked at the pictures and there is no way it a classic lesion.

A doctor cannot with certainty diagnose herpes visually as a number of conditions produce similar looking lesions.

I see. Thanks for your reply. Did you look at the pictures? *embarrassed*

Does it look like anal herpes in your experience?

I read somewhere also that anal herpes can be diagnosed by doctors simply by looking at the lesion.

Not really suggestive of herpes but again, diagnosis without a swab and blood test is simply not possible. Discharge does not occur from herpetic lesions.

Firstly regarding PCR tests, I won't be able to have one any time soon - it both takes a lot of time getting an appointment to an Urologist here and I doubt they will know what is a PCR test here. It usually takes about 2 weeks to get an appointment and it will surely disappear by then.

Here is some more info...

I'll be a bit graphic, sorry about that...

So I washed my buttcrack really good, let it dry, and the sore looks like a horizontal clear cut in the tissue / flesh for few mms. I could only notice one sore like that, and it's located inside the beginning of the anus (about where I scratched...) there might be another smaller round sore, but it's a lot smaller and not as deep.

About several hours after that, I took another picture, and it did seem to have a white discharge that covered the sore.

It seems to be healing and the pain subsided, but I also feel now dull pain projected to my thighs (this happened before as well in the other 2 incidents I've had this phenomenon happen to me) and it's a little bit difficult peeing.

So I'm really at a loss. I'm not sure if it's anal herpes. Firstly there is just one or few sores at most, and I didn't have blisters or anything before. There might have been, of course, blisters, that were not painful and when I scratched I made them open which led to the pain, but I didn't see any.
Also, there is the white discharge -
could a discharge happen also just from an anal fissure caused by tearing up the anal skin from scratching and then having it inflamed because of the a bowel movement or something of that sort?
Also, if an anal fissure can get an inflammation and cause this pain I'm having, is it possible that the pain projection to the thigh is due to that and also a small difficulty to pee, or are those clear cases of anal herpes?

I read somewhere that a symptom for Anal Herpes is pain projection to the thighs, and I definitely have this burning pain projection in my inner thigh in my right leg. Is that a clear Herpes symptom or can it also happen from an inflamed anal fissure infection?

From your experience does it sound like Herpes given all that info?

I managed to upload the pictures of how it looks... these pictures are very graphic so mind yourself...

These symptoms do not align heavily with herpes. It is a possibility though that herpes is present; but maybe not causing all the symptoms.

The best thing to do is present immediately for a swab test of the sore and explicitly ask for a PCR HSV test on the swab. At the same time, you could request an IgG antibody test type specific for HSV1 and HSV2.
