Do I have HSV-2? Test results are confusing.

I was recently tested for all STDS under the sun, and my results for everything came back negative, except for HSV-1 (which I know I already have)and HSV-2 (which is a complete surprise). The results for these two are as follows:

HSV-1 IGg- 19
HSV-2 IGg- 1.1

Is there a chance the HSV-2 is a false positive? Even though my doc says so, I'm still a bit worried. Can anybody help me out??

Your Dr is correct. This is most likely a low false positive. Very common for hsv1 antibodies to cross over on the test leading to these low false positives
