burned and almost resembled pimples. They are not very big and already they seem to be going away. They did however seemed to crust on their own. today they are just slightly visible but seem to be healing.
Yesterday, which would be the 9th day I noticed a redness only on the right side of my penis
(the tip where the ridge is) I felt some burning but nothing that was really bothering me. I woke up to check it again, and it still just has some redness on my tip. It almost resembles like a rash/burn, almost when you have sex
a tad but nothing thats causing me to be in pain or real discomfort. I have not noticed any "blisters" like I have read can happen.
The girl I was with had no visible signs of the disease. She did however have to tongue piercings, which she showed me and I didnt notice any sores, but from what I have read that doesnt always mean she doesnt carry it.
Just would like some feedback If I should worry, or if what I am experiencing isnt anything to cause concern. I may go to the Dr's to get tested in the next couple weeks, or if symptoms worsen.
At this point you need to see the doctor on the penis rash. They can be caused by anything and having them look at it will tell you what you might have. Sounds to me like a fungal issue but does need to be looked at by your doctor. The sooner the better because they can give an accurate feel on things incase it starts to heal and complicates things.
As for the red spots. It could be anything from irritation to pimples. Should you have a repeat see your doctor within 48 hours of their reapprance to have them look at it. This will give them the chance to swab and culture it if they thing its herpes related.
About half the U.S adult population has HSV-1 oral (cold sores). You can test right now but it will only serve as a baseline. If HSV-1 comes back positive you won't know for sure if you got it from this women or had it for awhile unless you have had a previous Herpes Type Specific IgG test. Now you won't get an accurate blood test until about 3-4 months depending on the test used. So my advice wait until 4 months to get an accurate response. If you have HSV-1 orally it will be hard for you to get HSV-1 Gential (genital).
If all you had was oral sex and no kissing then there is no chance for Oral HSV infection from her. Oral sex unprotected is a low risk for Herpes and not every encounter leads to a transmission. Speak to your doctor for more information.
The other thing I forgot to mention is for the other STD's I am not 100% on and you can post a question in the STD forums for more answers on the others. I can only speak of HSV.
Now I think I have had a cold sore years ago but I really cannot remember. I did see that If you do have HSV-1 oral its hard to get it on your genitals. Now I have a questions..If I was clean no HSV and came in contact with this girl who had it orally..could she give it to me on the mouth as well as genitals? Which would cause me to have both herpes infections?
The rash is still present on my penis. It is not however painful, its also not extremely visible but you can tell its slightly red. I was thinking of going to the Dr's if systems persist or if they reoccur over the next couple months. Since If It is herpes it is not treatable anyways, but I wont continue any sexual activity until I know whats going on.
Also I just wanted to know..Does herpes appear at once? Or do you get spots then more spots appear, and keep going? Or does it usually appear all at once? I'm just trying to get a knowledge of the disease.
I wanted to follow up on my current condition. I went to the doctor about 2.5 weeks after exposure. My family doctor looked at the 2 pimple like spots on the corner of my mouth. He said is looked more like a yeast infection then herpes..He also gave me a physical and said it did not look like a "typical" herpes infection, but had be get tested.
So I got tested for herpes, HIV, syphilis, Hep B, and the results came back "negative" I know the results are not very accurate as it was very early.
It has now been almost 6.5 weeks since exposure. The rims of my penis seems to still be red. It is almost "blotchy" I have no idea if this has anything to do with herpes or not. It seems like it fades then comes back again. Their are circular red spots that are flat. It looks somewhat similar to "balantis" pictures but I'm no Dr to say for sure. When it heals it almost turns "purple" It has yet to go away completely since appearing 1 weeks or so after exposure.
What exactly would be "normal" signs for Herpes? I have noticed any blisters but I did notice what seemed like a small "paper cut" on the shaft after exposure that healed very quickly.
