Do I have an STD...

Do I have herpes?
I do have hemorhoids and I have not had sex in about 3 years, plus I am a hetrosexual, so I have never had any kind of anal sex.
This is the second time this kind of itching, bumpy, hell has happened. The first time was about 2 months after the last time that I had sex....3 years ago.
The symptoms and timeframe are as follows...
For about 1 1/2 to 2 months, I have a had some small red bumps on and around the bottom of my scrotum, around my anus, and all the way up to the top of my butt crack. That whole area itches alot and is intense. The bumps on my scrotum, when touched feel like rubbing sandpaper on them...The bumps around my anus feel like mosquito bites...they are sensitive to the touch. I have also noticed that I have 2 small cuts. One is located between my scrotum and my anus and the other is located in my butt crack, between the top of my crack and where the crack starts to go toward my anus. The only thing that scares me is the cuts...I haven't experienced any of flu-like symptoms, and I haven't had any bumps or cuts on my penis, and from what I read...outbreaks of herpes don't last that long.

Most people do not get flu like symptoms when they contract genital herpes.

This really sounds more like a fungal infection than anything. You really should go see your provider and get it all checked out. Since herpes is on your mind, ask for a type specific herpes igg blood test too while you are there so that you know your status and know if you need to be thinking herpes or not when you get rashes down yonder.
