if you rubbed it or tried to pop it.
I went to the ER because I was out of state and didn't have a urologist. The ER nurse and doctor both said that they were 100% sure it was herpes. They collected a sample of the liquid and sent it for culture. I never heard back from them. (I called the ER and they said if the test was positive for herpes I would have received a phone call or certified letter...I didn't receive either.)
After visiting the ER I made and appointment with a urologist. I couldn't get in with him, so they made me an appointment with the PA. He looked at it and said that it wasn't herpes, that it was just a bad bacterial infection. He gave me some stuff and told me it would clear up. It didn't.
I made another appointment with a different urologist and he said I'm 100% sure it is herpes. At this point the lesions and bubble things were there for about 10-14 days. He didn't do a culture but ran blood work for every STD except HIV/AIDs. Gonorrhea came back negative, syphillis (syphilis) came back negative, chlamydia came back negative, and HERPES came back negative..at the time i got the results it was all cleared up. So he classified it as Molluscum Contagiosum. Gave me medicine and sent me on my way.
From that point till about a month ago I didn't have any symptoms. I have not been with anyone else since all the STD tests. I started to have kidney pain and discharge from my urethra. I went to the ER and they tested me for STDs..somehow I tested positive for Gonorrhea. They treated it with a Suprex pill and sent me on my way. Said I didn't need anymore treatment.
A couple days later after masturbation, about 1 day...a patch of those bubbles came back again on my penis. I literally was like "What the heck is going on!" So I went to an STD clinic to see what they would say. At this point I was having discharge from my penis again, so they said the Gonorrhea never went away but they'd test again to make sure. I saw the PA and the DR there and they both think it is herpes. They gave me Dioxycillin to take while I wait for the blood and culture to come back, and also gave me a prescription for Valtrex. He told me that if it the Valtrex clears it up then it is herpes. Well it's been about 4 days since i went there and it's scabbing over, still itchy, but almost gone....and i have not filled the Valtrex prescription. Just have been taking the Dioxycillin.
I got the results back from the blood work and it was all negative..even for Gonorrhea which they thought I had. They did tell me however that the culture for herpes came back positive but they couldn't tell me what if it was 1 or 2. It's been about 3 months like I said since the first blisters showed up and every time I do a blood test it comes back negative.
On top of this, every time the blisters show up, after they pop they scab over and disappear...always leaving scars. It's a faint white scar in every area that they showed up on...the last blisters that showed up just left a scar. I don't scratch them, pick at them, or anything so I don't know what's going on.
Could the culture have been wrong? Does this sound like herpes? On top of this my whole body as been itching. I had a couple rashes and that's why they tested for syphillis (syphilis)..like I said came back negative. Just had HIV test done as well and that was negative.
the culture coming back positive means you do have genital herpes. it's unfortunate that they didn't type the culture to know if it's hsv1 or hsv2 ( and also against cdc herpes testing guidelines not to order it typed ).
odds are you have more than just herpes going on from the sounds of things. did they treat your gonorrhea with a shot this time or just pills again?
