Do I have herpes?

by student1010, Nov 06, 2009 05:27PM
Hi,

I'm a 18 year old male and recently I have had these tiny bumps on my inner thighs and pubic hair area.  About 4 or 5 weeks ago a girl gave me oral sex for literally 5 seconds, and I don't know if it is a coincidence-- but a couple days later it appeared. I'm not sure if it was itchy before hand, but it might have been. My symptoms are that it is itchy, and the bumps.  The bumps have no color and come directly from where there is hair growing.  They are just like raised bumps on where the hair grows out.  I also just moved into college and am a first year freshman, and have been re-using towels if that makes any difference.  They have been there for about a month now, and I keep expecting them to go away but they don't.  I'm very nervous it could potentially be herpes, but I'm really not sure.  The girl had never given head or had sex prior to that experience-- if that makes a difference.  I get itchy anywhere from my inner thighs, scrotum, my anus region, to my pubic hair area.  There are no sores or bumps on my actual shaft or penis either.  Sometimes the area between my inner thigh and groin is a pinkish color when it is most irritable.  The bumps are mostly on the area that connects my upper inner thigh and my groin.  If you have any idea what this is... please write back as soon as possible, I've been stressing for about a month now.  Thank you so much.

Doesn't sound like herpes. I would say this is not herpes. However, any itchy bumps anywhere needs to be looked at by a professional. Nobody on this board can give you diagnoses over the web. I would say "not herpes, but go talk to a doc".
