Do I have herpes?
Okay so long story short my question is what are my chances of getting a STD from a one time unprotected oral sex encounter that last 15 mins? The girl is around 25-32 years old and was a prostitute. From what I could see I saw no blisters on sores on her but then again it was dark. I've had no symptoms other than just pure anxiety and stress from thinking I have it. I got tested 5 weeks after the encounter with the whole STD panel and a specific type IgG test and all were negative. Was is it too soon to test and am I okay? Thank you.
No symptoms and a negative test at 5 eeeks is all very good evidence you're fine. Igg blood tests need 12 weeks to be considered conclusive but igg tests for hsv1 aren't that great. Your odds of contracting hsv from this is incredibly low. So low that it doesn't warrant your anxiety. I don't recomnend further testing from your low risk encounter.

Thank you so much you have given me piece of mind, however the edge of my lips do itch every so often I told the doctor and he said I had a rash on my chin due to my beard. Other than that the doctor knows my situation I told him the truth and he pretty much said to get over it that the test would have picked it up and that it's just my anxiety kicking in.

It's been three days but you don't understand how you've put me at ease. What your doing here I have seen other forums and answers and your doing a great deed! Also I recently communicated with the sex worker I did that stuff in June with and I know she could be lying but she said she gets tested monthly and even for herpes and that she's in a campaign in my city for safe sex she said she has never had any cold sores and stuff. Who knows but anyways I feel a lot better and I still haven't had any symptoms "knock on wood"! And the itchiness went away from my lips I guess it was the anxiety. Lastly forget to tell you that I came in her mouth does this matter or make any difference am I still good?
Ejaculation makes zero difference for you. For her it might be an elevated risk but not you
Then there is no possible way you can have hsv orally from your exposure. I 100% agree with your Dr. Anxiety is your only enemy here. You are fine and can move forward without concern.
