Do you Think i have genital herpes

Hey doctor, I  had a run in with a random girl I do not know about 19 days ago. She had protected vaginal sex and oral sex, but I performed unprotected oral sex on her for a very short moment. About 10 days after the incident, I had either small cold sore or pimple on the side of my mouth. I dont usually get cold sores but they run on my dad's side of family. I have had no noticeable signs on my penis, but i feel that i have seen some little bumps on the tip of my penis when i look with a flash light. I havent had any pain when peeing or any discharge. I was looking at by a doctor and he said he saw nothing alarming. What are the chances of having herpes on the tip of your penis if you used a condom and do you think I have it? its been 19 days and there are no clear sign on the genital area, but i have had tinglling in the scrotum but that could be nerves since i have been extremely stressed from this situation. If you have to look hard with a flashlight to find these bumps, they are likely not herpes.  And the condom should have given you good protection from acquiring herpes through intercourse.  Since you did receive unprotected sex, there is some risk there.  Also, if you were going to have symptoms from a first infection, they would show up normally within 2-10 days.  Have you ever in your life had a cold sore?  If yes, then you would test positive for the rest of your life for HSV 1.  I would trust your doctor's evaluation in this case that things look normal and not let your mind get you carried away with worry, if you can possibly stop.

and to add to my last comment....say i did get cold sores on my face...what normal would show up first in a first outbreak...the genital sores or the mouth sores?

I've not heard of muscle spasms as a problem with herpes.  Either could show up first, no way to know for sure.

Terri, i know we ended our convo a couple days ago, but i have more concern...can you get genital herpes from performing oral sex on a woman. in other words, can you get genital herpes or HSV 2 if you have no direct contact on your genitals and her vagina or mouth. I got tested for herpes and genital herpes and get my results wednesday. its been 23 days since the incident and there are no very observous signs on my genital area. i feel if i go looking, i find something. Do you feel that if i had genital herpes it would be noticeable by now since it has been 23 days. thanks and sorry for the bother again, just trying to get answers.

No, you cannot get genital herpes by giving oral sex to someone.

Its possible, yes, but given how closely you are looking, I doubt it.
