Does HSV pass through clothes?

So I literally asked this question a week ago (only somewhat different) but I am getting the good ol' OCD about transmitting a YEARS old hsv-1 infection to myself. Juts like last time which was kindly answered by feelong undone (thank you mate) who I am pretty sure monitors these queations so I am sorta expecting an answer from them. Basically same as last time I know this didn't happen but senior OCD decided to bang down my door, my face got close to my crouch area while sitting down and my lips  may have but doubtfully touched my crouch/penis. I was wearing sweatpants with long jones underneath but theyve both got tiny holes in them because of the fabric/cloth or whatever. So could the virus go through those holes and reinfect me? I mean afterwards I tried to convince myself and got up to get water and there was friction between my penis, legs , and clothing so could that also have reinfected me? thanks again for answering and answer fully please.

Welcome back. Hsv absolutely will not penetrate clothing of any kind. You won't spread the infection to your genitals anyway you look at it. It's a well established infection and the body builds up defenses that make spreading the virus very unlikely.
To recap hsv can not penetrate clothing.
