Does Valtrex Affect Blood Test ?

I have a question about rather my blood test was conclusive I was tested 3 times for herpes once at 4 weeks and once at 6 weeks both neg for hsv 2 and pos for HSV 1 (which I have had since I was i child) I started Valrex b/c a nurse read my results wrong and told me I had HSV 2 and even though they realized the mistake I have not gotten over this and was tested again at 3 months while on Valtex and it came up Neg for HSV 2 and Pos for my HSV 1... Now can I trust this test or is it no good b/c I was on valtrex?

How about STOP HAVING SEX if you don't want to infect anyone?!  Your meds aren't herpes cryptonite.  There's a chance your partner will eventually become infected even if you are continuing the meds.

Does he know you think you may have herpes?  It not, you should tell him.

I would say it was conclusive but for added peace of mind, cease the Valtrex immediately, there was no reason for you to start it in the first place, and retest at 16 weeks and take that answer as fact.
