Does he have herpes? When did I catch it?

My ex (supposedly) did a blood text at my request. He says that he was exposed to HSV 1 and HSV 2 and has antibodies but does not have Herpes  He is negative.  Is that possible? One interesting thing is that he said that he was exposed for HSV 1 and I know for a fact, through a blood test, that I don't have HSV 1. He has not been willing to show me the results. I disappeared after I told him about my diagnosis and then started sending me these lame texts with conflicting information.

I believe to be my first outbreak.  It was pretty severe. It's been 8 weeks since it started and my back pain is just stating to get better. I was initially swabbed and then had a blood test just to get more info.  My HSV 2 antibodies came back at 5.1 levels.  Does that mean that I was previously infected or it could have been that I was just infected and because of my major outbreak, they build up quicly?

The one thing that confuses my is that I've had back problems for years but last summer I had a strange numbness down my left leg and my calf started to hurt.  It could have been from my lower back now I'm wondering if it was just my lower back problems or if I had been infected then and just got this massive outbreak now?!?!
According to my chiropractor the back pain from the summer could have been explained by both but I'm wondering if I'm having PHN?!?!

Sounds like you contracted hsv on the 28th. The time frame fits and from the severity surely sounds like a primary outbreak. Please keep in mind that hsv is a manageable skin condition. It won't stop you from having a full life including a husband and children. If that's what you desire.

Think God I already passed the age of having children.  I know this will get better overtime but I saw a dating provide saying that the guy..was clean...no STDS.  That will never be me again.  If I was in his place, I wouldn't have dated someone like this guy without a full panel.

That was the last time. I had sex with him on Dec 28 and my outbreak atrtad the back pain on January 1st. I was swabbed then and now 8 weeks later i did the igg test to confirm that i did not have HSV 1 from beore, with i don't and to see my HSV 2 antubody status.
I'm suspicious on him for many reasons. First of all on the day that we had sex I had a small shaving cut and that's exactly where my shirt came out of. He is not a very honest and the great manipulator. Actually what he says is that he was exposed he did have anti-virus but that his test came out negative so I'm confused. But he has not showed me the results and I have a feeling that I will never see them. He disappeared when I mention STDs and just showed up a month later saying this lame sorry that I asked for space.

I just wanted to say you are not alone. I met this guy last year and had sex with him on January 5, 2017. I had to do my annual exam and because the condom leaked, I asked him if there was anything I needed to worry about. he became so defensive and nasty. I've never had any type of STD but has a positive test for HSV. I am so distraught and I've been told that there is no way to tell where it came from. I was tested in 2015 and the results were negative.
I was also tested a couply years ago and it was negative.

If he tested positive for antibodies then he has the virus. There are no " I was exposed and tested positive but don't have the infection" I would need to see his testing and results to truly know what's going on.
How long after the outbreak did you blood test? It does certainly sound like a primary outbreak. These usually happen within 10 days from contracting the virus. Rarely up to 20 days. When was your last exposure to him in relation to your outbreak?
