Does this sound anything like herpes??

I am a female. I haven't been sexually active in over a year but am constantly worried about STDs, particularly herpes. I've have only been with one person for (protected) vaginal sex and one for (unprotected) oral.

Even before I became sexually active, I believe I had recurrent yeast infections that I just learned to deal with and never really "cured". Now I am second guessing if I am currently/recently having these infections.

They usually occur a week and a half after my period. Usually dry itchy skin, clumpy, pasty white/yellowish/brownish discharge. The discharge often sticks to the walls or labia and is sometimes around the clit. I have never noticed any bumps. But I tend to scratch a lot due to the irritation and that creates friction and raw skin or cuts which hurt to urinate but only for about a day. When I take a mirror to look, the cuts/ raw skin are exactly where I scratched and they heal almost completely in a little over a day or less. Sometimes just in 12 hours. But sometimes it takes a day or 2. Often these "cuts" just look like red irritated skin and can be smaller than a pencil tip. I don't use any medications or healing creams either. Also, the area can become very dry and flaky, which also causes itching.

Please help. I can't get tested anytime soon so some advice would be great just to ease my mind in the meantime. Does this sound anything like herpes??

Regarding your recurrent y.i.; have you tried to use yogurt, probiotics, and something to balance your pH? It worked for me! I had 20+ y.i. w/ each pgncy and the dr even did a vinegar vaginal shower and nothing. I've had a really bad y.i. where the clit looks like a tumor because of the swelling. Lol yeah... I can say your symptoms are kind of wacky and not even close to mine (Im ghsv2+) but you should get a medical opinion amd tests done.

Thanks for your help! I've used some probiotics before but got sick and had to use antibiotics so the YI just came right back. So you're saying you think this sounds more like a YI than herpes? Or "wacky" like hsv2?
??
Yes sounds like a yeast infection and not hsv

Thank you so much for your reply! My only concern I guess is that I've heard and read of a few people that did have unprotected sex and still contracted herpes due to some uncovered skin since condoms can only cover the penis not the skin near it. I don't remember having a harsh outbreak of any kind but my yeast infections can get pretty harsh at times so I'm worried I could've mistaken it for herpes. Any thoughts?

With your protected vaginal exposures I highly doubt hsv2 to be a concern. You chances were effectively zero to have hsv2 on or in your vagina. Hsv can not pass through an intact condom. Hsv1 is a very small possibility  from oral sex. That being said most people who do not have any prior hsv experience a harsh primary outbreak when they contract hsv1 on the genitals.
