Does this sound like herpes

I received oral sex from a woman about 6 weeks ago. About 3 weeks ago I saw a few small bumps/legions on the head of my penis. This occurred after wearing a bathing suit all day. The liner in the suit rubbed against my penis all day. I didn't have much if any pain at all nor itching. This past weekend I wore the same bathing suit and got similar results though it was even smaller and healed within one day. What are the chances I have genital herpes? Could this just be a cause of friction against my bathing suit? Two things I should note. 1) the oral sex I received came from a woman who has been around 2) I have had herpes 1 or cold sores/fever blisters since I was a child.  Thanks for your help.

She could be a virgin and still transmit oral herpes to your penis, just so you know. Oral herpes is incredibly common and many of us get it in childhood, so it has nothing to do with sexual promiscuity (nor does genital herpes, for that matter). You in fact can transmit your oral herpes, with or without symptoms, by performing oral sex on someone.

That being said, you know you already have oral herpes, which gives you significant protection from getting it genitally. And, you know this happened after the swimsuit ordeal - not once, but twice.

My first statement in my last post was just to make a point that oral herpes does not a promiscuous person make. You already know you have oral HSV1 from having cold sores. So between that and the coming and going of symptoms based on your swimsuit, this clearly was not herpes related.

No need for testing unless you want to know your HSV2 status, along with the confirmation that you already have HSV1.
