Does this sound like herpes?

First off I'm a virgin and have not engaged in oral sex and the last time I kissed someone was back in late April/early May. I have also never had a cold sore.

About 6 days ago I was watching Seinfeld and eating 2 overly salted cucumbers and when I got to the bottom of the bowl I felt the left side of my bottom lip go numb and tingly and when I looked in the mirror I found there was a clear blister that had formed on the inner part of my bottom lip on the left side. By the following morning the blister had downgraded in size but was still quite blatantly a blister. It was now a clearish/white color and wasn't really all that painful. I also noticed I had another small one pop up right next to it but I think it could haven been due to the fact that I kept biting the blister/sore and the smaller one which is already healed and gone was from my teeth. I had an appointment with my Dermatologist and asked him about the blister and he did a culture and I have yet to get the results back. When I asked him about herpes he replied that it could be herpes but herpes usually occurs outside the mouth and he also mentioned that it looks like I burned it. He prescribed me Kenalog in Orabase in which is used for "oral inflammatory lesions and ulcerative lesions resulting from trauma" and also states not to use if you have a herpes type infection unless directed by your doctor as it is not meant to be used for HSV.

*I am also a huge hypochondriac and my doctor knows this*

By the third day the blister had turned into a sore (still not really painful) and since I've been using the medication it has been shrinking in size and now (day 6) is about the size of a pinprick. Throughout it's healing process the sore would develop a kind of white film over itself and then when the white film would break away the sore was smaller and then it would repeat the whole process again and this is what it continues to do.

My Uncle who is a dentist looked at it and said it was a canker sore and that herpes do not usually form on the inner parts of the lip. However though this may be considered the inner part of my lip I've had canker sores before and I've never had one so close to the outer lip. The sore is right on the part of my lip that just becomes the inside of my lip, it is right on the cusp of where my lip starts to become dry.

My questions are does this sound like a cold sore at all? It hasn't formed a scab or crust but also keep in mind this is because it is inside my lip where a scab is unable to develop due to the moisture. I never had a red bump appear before the blister but I did for about a week prior to the blister have a weird feeling in that area of my mouth, I don't know if i would describe it as a tingling but more along the lines of feeling as if there was a hair stuck to my lip when there wasn't and it was more noticeable when speaking.

Aren't initial HSV outbreaks more severe as opposed to just one blister that doesn't even really hurt?

Also I remember back in May I felt sick, I had a sore throat and felt kinda achy but never had a fever and no blister until now, this was weeks ago if not over a month ago. Could this be related? Or do you think it likely it was due to allergies as I am prone to them each time the weather changes. Also as I mentioned earlier I did kiss someone back around the beginning of May, I think it might have been May 2nd. A guy I had just recently become acquainted with (and was NOT interested in becoming more than friends with) kissed me and since I'm terribly awkward in these situations I just sort of let him stick his tongue in my mouth for what seemed like forever and then told him I had to leave to take a Spanish final. Would herpes show up this much later? This blister appeared June 24.

One more thing, I noticed there is a red spot on my buttocks, kind of like a pimple that has been rubbed/opened and only hurts if it is touched and it's more of a really slight burning feeling, the feeling you get if you touched an open pimple on your face, could this be herpes that I could have accidentally transferred before I developed the blister on my lip? A couple days before the blister on my lip I noticed a whole bunch of pimple like red spots on my buttocks that resembled razor burn and I applied acne medication to it and the following morning it was already 50% better and is now basically all healed, do you think the red spot I've found could just be acne? I am prone to get acne on my back and lower back so it's a usual occurrence that I'm use to should I forget to use the proper medications beforehand.

Sorry for writing so much, any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You've had 2 people look at your symptoms and say they didn't think it's herpes.  It sounds more like something else going on orally.

I agree with dj - absolutely no way the buttocks symptoms are herpes either since you aren't sexually active yet.

I don't think its herpes. Since you are a virgin then there no way you have it. Plus you said it was inside your mouth then its a canker sore (not related to herpes) and if it was on the outside of your lip/mouth then it a cold sore (which is herpes type 1).  The only way you will get Herpes type 2 is by sex which only stay below the waist and for the buttocks, I think it might of been the acne since acne can show up anywhere on your body.
