MS is not so much of a weakened immunity but misdirected immunity. Dormancy is simply put, not being active and not sure what you mean by relapse.
Ok. Now, in terms of weakened immunity, I am unsure if dormancy of this virus can cause her a relapse. From what I am researching, I finding no correlation. Do you have any info here?
Tests results are very important to confirm you infact have both 1 and 2. But lets assume your 6 or 7 is on the value scale where anything above 1.2 is positive. A 6 or 7 would be considered very positive.
That being said, research with respect to MS and HSV is that having both, a MS attack could trigger an hsv outbreak.
As you know, MS is a nerve insulation deterioration issue which is caused by ones own body attacking the natural nerve insulation causing a plaque buildup in turn causing a short circuit.
Since the immune system is in question it may or may not aide in preventing hsv as it would attack the virus at the inception point.
You both really need to confirm your status and if only you are positive, taking antivirals, using condoms and avoiding sex when a sore is present would lower any risk to nearly zero.
Thank you. I will not have the answers to which type of test, but during my research, I found that for my Dr's office to have indicated the type, I must have been administered the IGG. I have been in shock and was driving when I received the results, so I don't recall. The HSV2 came back at around 6 or 7, but again, that means nothing to me. Only because I have no solid understanding until I speak with my doctor.
Hi and welcome. Since you dont have any outbreaks we first need to confirm your positive for both. What tests did you have and what were the numbers involved?
