Extreamly scared

I'm really scared and wondering if anyone can help me relax till I get my results back.  So was in a realationship with a man in Jan and we were having unprotected sex we are no longet together but on Feb 23rd I stated to have yeast infection symptoms the itching and burning on urination.  I actually get yeast infections often so I went and bought a 3 day treatment well it didn't seem to help so I was just leaving it alone and going to let it go away on its own but it never really did go away.  I met someone new and we started having sex but I was so raw I couldn't have sex the first time and I assumed it was from the yeast infection which was on Feb 28th.  We did try though 2 more times that week and it seemed to better with lube.  This only aggravated the yeast infection so I went and bought a 7 day treatment thinking that would be more affective.  After day 2 I was so swollen I couldn't walk.  I never had pain thoughout this whole thing just itching sever itching.  I went to a walk in clinic and the doctor didn't do a pap she took one look at me and said OMG you poor thing your having a sever allergic reaction.  The doctor then put me on Diflucan and steriods for the inflamation (inflammation) and a cream called Clortimazole and Betamethasone.  Well this helped but I'm still so uncomfortable so went back to the clinic and this doctor said I have red spots which she tested.  I know I have to just wait for the results but I'm having so much anxiety.  She also tested me for yeast also which came back negative.  I guess I should also mention when she inserted the speculam today it was very painful but I asked if she saw any sores inside me she said no.  My question is since I have had no pain could this be herpes?  Does herpes outbreak last this long?  Could herpes just present as sever itching and pain with urination? Could the sores be due to this allergic reaction or yeast instead?  Could an allergic reaction trigger a herpes breakout?  What else could this be I'm so upset?

yes if this was a newly acquired herpes infection that hasn't been treated it could be going on this long :(  At this point odds are your lesion culture will come back negative regardless since it's been so long that it's been going on. I recommend following on things in a few months with a type specific herpes igg blood test to err on the side of caution.  did they also test you for other std's too while you were there?

meanwhile, your current partner needs a full screening too. make sure he also gets a type specific herpes igg blood test done as part of his work up.

I got tested for everything waiting for Tuesday.  I also got the blood test.  I started Acyclovir yesterday and I feel like I'm in pain today does that mean anything?

did they give you the 400mg 3x/day dose of acyclovir I hope?

Also if you are prone to yeast infections vaginally, look into fem dophilis by jarrow or refresh proB. Both are probiotics that contain strains of "good" bacteria that colonize the urogenital tract to help keep your vaginal balance proper so that yeast can't over grow as often.

Yep thats exactly what they gave me.  Thanks for your answers.  Do you think I've been doing so much reading I'm letting my imagination get the best of me?  Like now all the sudden I'm feeling the tingling and pain!
