Fear of getting herpes

Hi friends. Am 23 yr male from India. I had unprotected oral sex with a sex worker about 32 days back. She said that she had herpes. I didnt kiss or touch her genital area. It was covered. But we had lip kisses and i sucked her breasts. Now am afraid of getting herpes. What are my chances and when can i get tested to confirm that am free  from herpes. Thanks in advance. She did not have any noticeable ulcers around mouth. So i didnt care much at that time. Please help me.

it can be a sign of herpes but usually it's other things causing itching.

I will consult a doctor. But i just wanted to ask whether slight itching in groin area is a symptom of herpes or not?? Another small doubt. I dont have any mouth cuts or ulcers now. So even if i have contracted herpes, can i kiss my gf as i am clean. Can i finger her. Is it safe. please reply me.

if you have new symptoms, you need to be seen and have them evaluated.

even the best blood tests for herpes still miss 1 out of every 10 hsv1 infections.  you received oral so hsv1 is your biggest risk. honestly it's not worth testing from this encounter. test both of you to know fo ryour own relationship from this point forward.  make sense?

Thanks for ur reply. 1 Last question. Is my test for herpes after 4 months conclusive. I have decided not to touch any other girl than my fiancee. Is a negative report after 4 months from my last encounter conclusive?

most folks get hsv1 as children orally in india. doesn't matter if either of you have kissed lots of others before each other.

I wouldn't worry from the encounter you had. in general though you should know both of your hsv1 status before you start being intimate together.

we have never been tested. She is not into physical relation with anyone else apart from me. So her chances are ZERO. Now is it safe to kiss her or wait for 4 months?? Is the 3-4 month for herpes conclusive?

have either you or your fiancee ever been tested for herpes? can either of you recall cold sores?  in india, the rates of hsv1 oral infection are pretty high.

sorry for asking you again. Do u mean that kissing a girl without knowing her status is dangerous?? How can i know that they have herpes unless they tell me. My fiancee likes to kiss me a lot. Am afraid that i may even transmit her if i have been infected. You said that one should wait atleast 3-4 months to test for herpes? Can i kiss my fiancee or not? Thanks in advance for ur reply

it's been over a month and you've had no symptoms. I would stop worrying about it at this point.

in the future, only receive protected oral sex so you don't have any reason to worry like this :)

so you received unprotected oral from the csw?

do you know if she has oral herpes or genital herpes or both?

do you have a history of cold sores? have you ever been tested to know your own herpes status?
