Few Questions About Herpes

Hi there,

Ok it all started when I had "Protected" sex with a girl of unknown status, I know that wearing condom doesn't prevent the transmission of herpes completely, but
- how likely is it to get it when you wear a condom? is it low, mid or high?
- after few months, i found a yellowish pimple on my thigh and it poped 1 day after, can it be herpes?
- also, i wanted to ask is there anyway to have sex with a girl of unknown status without worrying about getting herpes?
- After how many days or months do i have to take a test? and what is the test name?
- finally, I had a test called HIV P24 Ag And Abs (HIV Combo) to check if I have HIV and it was negative, can this also mean that i dont have herpes?

You won't get hsv by her fluid  like that. It really needs to be massaged in and besides most of that fluid is urine based which is not a concern.
Initial outbreaks have fluid filled blisters usually in a small to medium sized (dime to quarter size area) it often has flu like symptoms which are fever, body aches and swollen lymph nodes.

First let me say hsv is not a super contagious
Infection. Chances of contracting hsv with a know positive partner and  unprotected sex is about 1 in a 1000
Now you don't know ylthe status of your partner and had protected sex (condoms do offer very good protection from all std's.
So getting it from a protected single exposure your chances are incredibly low.
Most outbreaks happen from 3-5 days after exposure and rarely up to twenty days. Not a few months later. Your pimple is not hsv.
As far as always worrying.... well ask your partners and always wear a condom.

You can take an igg test at twelve weeks.

No that test has nothing to do with herpes but congrats on the neg. Again with protected sex there was no need for an hiv test.

Hope this helps

Hsv lesions start as small red bumps and progress into fluid filled blisters in a day or two. Then they pop, leak out and scab over. It usually takes teo weeks or so to fully heal up.They usually only really itch when they are scabbed over and healing.
