So I was in my second relationship for a year, when he hit me with the news that he "had just found out" he had herpes. This made me so mad cause I had asked him to be tested and he reassured me he would never put me in danger. So anyways I got tested (blood) and it came back  negative for herpes. So that relationship was over. But anyways now 6 months later I broke out with bumps redness and discharge. When I went to the doctor at the women center she told me it was intertirgo which is basically I guess a bad outer yest infection. So I went home and researched and the only symptom that doesnt match is I have swollen lymph nodes. Is my doctor wrong and do I have herpes or am I paranoid and integrity can cause swollen lymph nodes?

Swollen Lymph nodes is a common sign of herpes infection, but it is also a sign of Infection in general...so it could be any infection. Lymph nodes swell when your body is fighting something off.. its a good sign that your immune system is working.. it doesnt mean its herpes though.

how long after you had last had sex with this partner was your herpes testing done?

your partner's test results are up to him to deal with.  at this point let's just focus on you :)

Like Jessy asked, what type of herpes did he say he tested positive for?  HSV I or HSV II?    It would also be helpful to know what type of test he took (IgG or IgM) & the numerical values on the test but I'm assuming that would be difficult to obtain?  Did he ever have any symptoms?  I'm asking this because I always entertain the possibility of a false positive.

When you had the test done in April, how much time had passed since the last time you had sex w/ him & the test?

I had the herpes test back in april  and was tested for everything at the same tme. Everything came back negative. I haven't had sex since. They did a urin test and a swob test for the yeast infection. I am just werried that it's a bad infection since my lymph nodes are swollen. And having the doctor blow it off wasnt very helpful. Pluse It isn't very uncomfortable to deal with.
