Folliculitis or herpes?

So for the past two days I have had a rash on my pubic hair area and inner thigh. I am scared to say the least. I think I have folliculitis and I am praying to god I do not have herpes. The reason I think it is Folliculitis is because all the bumps are pimple like and all bumps are on the follicule of the hair and none are on the penis (scrotum and all) just on my pubic hair. The thing that worries me is I usually do not shave and haven't for a while but the other night I was wearing very tight boxers that were pulling on my pubic hair. Could that have caused it and then got Staphylococcus or whatever the folliculitis is called where staph gets invovled? I have had sex but I always wear a condom and I know a condom doesn't protect 100%. I know rashes are hard to describe in words but any advice would be helpful. Again no lumps on actual genitals just pubic hair area and thighs with pimples on the exact hair.

Be seen by your provider for a proper workup.  This could be anything from fungal infection to anything.
