Fordyce spots vs. herpes

Fordyce spots vs. herpes

So I had a low risk sexual encounter 13 days ago (received protective oral from massage worker, thread on details here if curious http://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Protected-Oral---Risk-Factor-HPV-Herpes/show/1313159?personal_page_id=1427080#post_6005990)

No overt symptoms of any STD.
Dr. HHH, my local free STD clinic, and my GPractioner all say I am at VERY low/no risk of any STD, but I have curiosity on this question.

I DO have fordyce spots and shaved my penile shaft for the first time 12 days ago (day after) and experience some razor burn along the shaft and the fordyce spots.

So, my questions are:

1. Herpes first outbreaks, usually occur in the 7-10 days after exposure, and are marked by sores and intense itching, NOT low grade razor burn / itching.

2. Since I've never shaven this area before, is it normal to have some razor burn on fordyce spots?

I'm just curious b/c usually I will get razor burn in I trim the genital area, but it usually doesn't last for more than a few days.  However, on a visual inspection, my GP said (7 days after, 6 days ago) that there was no evidence of anything besides the fordyce spots.  And he did say I would know that the difference between fordyce spots and herpes.  There has been no change of condition since this visit.

'm guessing it's just razor burn (that I am more aware of due to the concern I am showing the area), and not herpes (since the pain would be FAR more, there would be visible evidence, and there would be a change in the appearance of the area.

Any thoughts on this theory as it relates to the original post?

Thanks!

Understood, but this is only somewhat related, and Dr. HHH has closed that thread.  A followup will likely go unanswered.  Still, I'll understand if the volunteers here do not wish to comment as this is a question that seems to come less from a real issue and more from me being a bit of worrier.

Best either way,

Dr. HHH already told you zero risk for HSV with protected oral. Believe him.

As to the fordyce spots (which is not an STD), this is the herpes forum, not the dermatology forum. Common sense though will tell you that shaving over anything bumpy could cause trauma/irritation.

I'm genital herpes positive. Six month ago i've been kissed by a woman who i think has oral herpes, two weeks later my upper lip started to tingled . It was like that for about a month (no outbreak) i went to see my doctor she said it was no herpes, has been six month since the firts syntom now my lip is dry, itches and burns. And i have some white pimples on my lip and the tingle is now in two spots on my lip. My lip line is swollen and the syntoms are severe some days, it haven't went away since the first time . Before my lips started to swollen i felt some pain that begin and between my lip and my nose all the way up to my forhead, it was just like five seconds. My question is. What it could be? Is it contageous? What test has to be done?  Let me know if you have any idea what this can be. (***@****)
