Hello--
This is a simple question-- is fordyce (small dull whitish-yellowish circular "pimples") easily distinguishable vs herpes? Searched for fordyce in this forum and haven't found much.
Anyways, I am pretty sure I have light fordyce-- about 35-50 dull whitish "pimples" wrapping around the backside and middle of my penis shaft... herpes would hurt/be wet/be in a cluster/be rash-like, right? I feel like I'm getting worried when it's fairly obvious it's not herpes. Looked online and matched what I have to "fordyce" in search engines, etc. No redness or swelling or wounding present.
So is fordyce vs herpes pretty clear cut? Or do the lines blur at all? I'm a early 20s straight non-idu, only had one brief unprotected encounter with a co-worker (who said she was clean) over 6 months ago. I'm in a very stable relationship now, and for some reason now I'm now starting to worry about this (been tested for everything else aside from syphilis and hep c, which was not recommended by a couple doctors i visited).
I noticed these potential fordyce symptoms about 4 days ago, and they have not changed in appearance or felt painful at all, maybe a slight sensitive at the very very least. I have been getting minor aches in my testicles, the muscles at the base of my shaft, and urthera. I'm kind of accounting these due to anxiety and stress over this, as well as the fact that I masturbate quite often (twice a day), plus my gf and I have sex 2-3 times a day. So, can over stimulus from masterbation and sex cause mild urthera and penis "muscle" irritation?
I dunno, all this has been on my mind-- worried and then not worried, I kind of feel like after researching and heavily weighing in the facts, I feel like I'm ok. But I just want to lay this on the table and see what people think.
So summarizing--
Fordyce vs. herpes
Fordyce "appearing" in early 20s possible? Causes? (hormones? stimulus?)
Penis/urthera irritation due to over stimulus
Thank you thank you, I hope you're well--
ps-- Also have read numerous posts by the great dr.s here saying that infection via singe unprotected exposure to hsv2 with no obvious symptoms is fairy low, so I am very comforted by this as well. Perhaps this fordyce is just bad timing.
