Form of oral herpes?

I've had tiny sores (sometimes red, sometimes white) on my tongue since I was young. If I "pop" the pain goes away otherwise I'll just wait 1-3 day before they go away. I don't get them all the time, but every few months. My brother has always had cold sores, but never have I. I was told that they might be another form of herpes. I'm very concerned about my boyfriend and how this might have effected him. We had oral for over a year now.

you shouldn't be popping these.

these are not oral herpes.

see your doctor or your dentist the  next time you have them to find out what is going on.  

have you and your partner ever been tested for herpes to know who has what? It typically is not a part of routine std testing and you can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take together until you know who has what.
